Cupronickel Tubing

What is copper-nickel?

Cupronickel or copper-nickel is an alloy of copper that contains nickel and strengthening elements, such as iron and manganese. Cupronickel is highly resistant to corrosion in seawater because its electrode potential can adjust to be neutral with regard to seawater.Copper nickel has proven to be very resistant to seawater, brine water, organic compounds, salts, diluted non-oxidizing acids, and more. Furthermore, copper nickel is commonly used in seawater piping systems. And it is used for piping, heat exchangers and condensers in seawater systems, as well as marine hardware, and sometimes for the propellers, crankshafts and hulls of premium tugboats, fishing boats and other working boats.

Applications

Cupronickel with silver-white and metallic luster is a copper-based alloy which has been added nickel element. Copper-nickel tube is extensively applied to make corrosion-resistant structural parts for industries like ship, petroleum, chemical industry, architecture, electricity, precision instrument, medical equipment, instrument manufacture, etc.

Features

1. In copper alloy, cupronickel is characterized by supreme corrosion resistance and easy to form, process and weld.
2. By adopting vacuum smelting technology, copper pipe is smooth both in and out of the pipe. It is clean and free of hazardous substance, oxide film and leakage. It also enjoys excellent eccentricity, stable chemical composition and supreme mechanical property.
3. Cupronickel tubing is characterized by corrosion resistance, especially in sea water, which is used in high temperature. Copper-nickel tube is widely applied in marine condenser, heater, water supply, chemical industry, sea water desalination factory heat exchanger.
With the aid of world-leading producing and testing equipment, ZZ Industrial (shanghai) Co.,Ltd. can design, develop and manufacture over 1,000 kinds of products.
